The Remind app is used at USD 463 for all communications between families, students, and coaches/sponsors for athletic and extracurricular activities. For our parents/families/students who are interested in connecting with coaches and sponsors for the upcoming fall sports season, please reach out to our District A.D., Taylor Becker, via email or by calling the district office at (620) 782-3355. Parents and families will need to download the Remind app and Ms. Becker will provide a code for each individual fall sport, which will then be approved by each coach for parents/families/students to communicate important upcoming announcements and events.

UHS had several students participate in the 2024 Healthcare Virtual Career Fair yesterday. The event was hosted by KSDE, the Kansas Hospital Association, Kansas Board of Regents, and HappyInHeath.org. The opening session included a welcome from Governor Laura Kelly. The virtual career day took students inside Kansas hospitals to learn about the many career opportunities available in health care. The event also included information on physical therapy presented by Minneola Healthcare as well as other topics including radiology, business office, behavioral health, laboratory, EMT/paramedic and surgery. #EagleStrong!

The National Honor Society is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, January 10. While that may sound like a long time away, it will be here before you know it. Please use the following link and make your appointment today. Udall has had fewer donors so far this school year which hurts in two ways: one, it leaves a shortage in our country's blood supply that is so critical during the winter; and two, it decreases the scholarship funds that our Udall seniors receive at the end of the school year. PLEASE HELP US TO HELP OTHERS AND CLICK IN TO MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT TODAY! https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?zipSponsor=UdallHS

Having trouble with this year's FAFSA form...or need help filling it out for the first time? This year's form will not be available until sometime in December. They have not set a launch date yet. However, there are enough changes that even those of you who have completed one before might have some questions, especially since it's more student driven than in the past. **FAFSA NIGHT at UDALL** will be January 10th, at 5:30 pm., in the FACS room. Southwestern College Financial Aid reps will be in attendance to help. Everyone who will be contributing to the form, student and parent(s), will need to have their own studentaid.gov account and ID. Those can be done anytime before the form launches. It can take up to three days to process, so the sooner the better. Please contact Tina Almanza with any questions. tinaalmanza@usd463.org
