Today our high school students will travel to Caldwell for their math relay competition. . Start time is 4:45.
A "math relay" is a game or competition where teams of students take turns solving math problems as quickly as possible, passing the problem or answer to the next teammate once they've completed their part, similar to a traditional relay race in sports, with the first team to finish all problems correctly winning.

USD 463 honored Veterans Day with our annual school-wide assembly sponsored by UHS STUCO. Thank you to American Legion Post 10 for the Presentation of Colors and to our guest speakers, Staff Sergeant Hunter Dierks and Tech Sergeant Buck Bonnell. The program included performances by both our 6th-7th grade and 8th-12th grade bands and ended with a video presentation honoring our local veterans.

National School Psychology Week will be celebrated from November 11–15. The theme for 2024 is "Spark Discovery" and recognizes the work of school psychologists in helping communities find new ideas, effect change, and expand horizons for children and youth.

Congratulations to 7th grader Abbie Brown, and senior Ben Woolley for being selected October Students of the Month! Staff had the following to say about each one...
"Abbie is a quiet leader in the middle school. While she is not as vocal as some classmates, Abbie leads quietly by example in the classroom. Abbie is also a great friend to her classmates and peers. She is always friendly and willing to work with anyone that she encounters, and does so with kindness and respect. Abbie maintained all A's during the first quarter and was the SCBL League Champion in Cross Country."
"Ben is always helpful with his classmates with anything they're working on. He is always the first to volunteer to help with any organizations as well. He is a class officer and FBLA officer, as well as a member of NHS and FFA. He also maintains a high grade point average while being involved with all of these activities."
Yesterday evening the elementary had their music concert " Awesome Animals" . Here are some pictures of the students enjoying themselves singing for the audience!

"The Pony Expresso or...The Villain Came to a Grinding Halt"
Perk up! This hot melodrama is boiling over with puns and jokes galore! The Pony Expresso, a friendly establishment run by Star Bright and Aunt Dee Caff, is struggling. Their customers are buying their coffee at a lower price from the scheming Mo Cabana and Fifi Latte. But the citizens are falling ill to an unexplained fainting disease. (It’s strange... they feel good ’til the last drop.) Luckily, Buck Brawn, our handsome hero, bravely investigates the mysterious health dilemma. Things come to a boil when Mo and Fifi hear that Star and Dee are destined to become rich — the railroad plans to make the Pony Expresso the new train station! When Mo and Fifi devise a plan that almost destroys them, the beans are spilled. Justice prevails as love brews between Star and Buck, who decide to marry and rename the Pony Expresso to honor their relationship: Buckstar Coffee! (Or something like that!) This wild melodrama has the ultimate blend of fun characters!

Congratulations to the High School Scholars' Bowl team! Last night at their season opener at Caldwell, varsity took 2nd place with the top score of 60 points earned by Andrew Preston. JV went undefeated placing 1st with the top score of 110 points earned by Jaely Harness. Way to go Eagles!

Music concert tonight! Kindergarten through fifth grade need to arrive around 6:10 pm. Students are to sit with their parents. Show up no later than 6:20 pm. The program will start at 6:30 pm in the high school auditorium. Student attire: wear nice clothes. Animal prints are welcomed but not required
