FBLA Nationals day 4 - Universal Studios! The students spent the day riding rides, eating great food, and having fun! They work hard to get to nationals and this was a great reward!
FBLA Nationals day 3 was full of competition. After a long day at the convention center, we had dinner at Bahama Breeze and then walked to Icon Park. Of course along the way we had to stop for pictures by the lobster cars!
One of the favorite things at FBLA Nationals is trading state pins. Each state designs a new pin each year for trading and students can buy as many as they want. In business, we stress the importance of communication skills and networking and this definitely encourages that! Our students have also discussed which pins have the highest demand, which states have flooded the market, and they often negotiate trades of multiple pins to get the states they really want. Our group was very successful this year in their negotiating!
FBLA Nationals day 2 - Games and lunch at Andretti Indoor Karting and the Opening Ceremony. They have all of their "glow" on for the opening Ceremony. They're ready to have fun and listen to great speakers with over 20,000 FBLA students from around the country!
Day 2 of FBLA Nationals started with a little fun at Andretti Indoor Karting! Everyone enjoyed lots of games and good food.
Day 1 of FBLA Nationals was a long day of travel! We finally landed in Orlando but had to wait on the plane for two hours due to thunderstorms. Everyone was happy to get settled in the hotel for the night!

The Remind app is used at USD 463 for all communications between families, students, and coaches/sponsors for athletic and extracurricular activities. For our parents/families/students who are interested in connecting with coaches and sponsors for the upcoming fall sports season, please reach out to our District A.D., Taylor Becker, via email or by calling the district office at (620) 782-3355. Parents and families will need to download the Remind app and Ms. Becker will provide a code for each individual fall sport, which will then be approved by each coach for parents/families/students to communicate important upcoming announcements and events.
Attention 8th-11th Grade Parents...Please look for Pre-Enrollment sheets that went home this week, so you can sign and complete these with your students. Let Mrs. Almanza know if you have any questions at tinaalmanza@usd463.org. Thanks!
